Anna Marek is looking forward to a break in her hectic life as a midwife and single mother of two daughters: for the first time in years, she will be taking the children on vacation. But then her neighbor Lukas rings the doorbell. He asks for Anna's help. His Chilean friend Maria went into labor unexpectedly. Anna can be persuaded to go to the clinic.
